Hopper
Depending on the required feeding method and space available, two models of HOPPER are available to dose the casing soil and compost feeding the HEAD FILLING MACHINE:
- BIG: to receive the material directly from a self-unloading truck or bucket loader. Chain conveyor width 2 m, reinforced sides and front conveyor.
- SMALL: to receive the material from a small bucket loader (bobcat) or bags/blocks to be opened and emptied. Chain conveyor width 1.4 m.
Both solutions can be moved easily by a tractor unit or forklift truck.

- Quick adjustment of the height of the dosing roller from the ground
- Inverter for the chain conveyor: precise adjustment of feed to the HEAD FILLING MACHINE, especially for high filling speeds
- Wetting hose complete with solenoid valve
The support frame is made from hot-dip galvanised steel, the chain conveyor frame and sides are made from stainless steel to ensure maximum durability over time.
During filling, the HOPPER doses and conveys the compost or casing soil to feed the CONVEYOR BELTS on the HEAD FILLING MACHINE. The machine can operate automatically as part of the filling line or manually for independent operation.
The HOPPER is filled with compost or casing soil. The material is conveyed by means of a slat conveyor to the dosing roller where the quantity of the output is regulated; it then falls onto the front belt, or feeds the CONVEYOR BELT on the head filling line directly.
The HOPPER is CE certified, as it is manufactured in compliance with European health and safety standards. ALPIE will be happy to evaluate requests for compliance with other standards.
