The price of mushroom growing equipment is one of the most influential factors in the final choice between one supplier or another.

How to calculate the right price for mushroom growing equipment?
–
Good quality mushroom growing machinery usually has a long life cycle, sometimes well over 20 years.
In addition to the initial price, the most important factor to consider when deciding on one model over another is reliability over time.
Even for mushroom farms or composting facilities that focus on technological development and so renew their equipment more frequently, the “investment cost” must always be assessed from a forward-looking perspective.
In 10/20/30 years of production ,what will be the cost of downtime, loss of yield, extraordinary maintenance or premature machine replacement?
Here is an example from our own experience.
Several years ago, listening to our customers, we decided to install a watertight cabinet as standard on our head filling machine PRO to protect the electrical and hydraulic systems.
For a minimal increase in initial investment, this solution lengthens the working life of some of the machine’s most sensitive components while avoiding malfunctions or problems.
In other words, it guarantees considerable savings over time, demonstrating that reliability is, after all, a more quantifiable value than people think.

Over and above the cost, we consider the value!

As a manufacturer, we have always focused on making mushroom growing machines with the best price-performance ratio. This means that while we do everything we can to help you stay within your budget, we won’t compromise on quality!
A number of choices confirm this:
Research into materials: for the structure, we use mainly stainless or galvanised steel to ensure maximum resistance to corrosion.
Durable components: we prefer Made in Italy or high-end CE-marked and international products.
Selected suppliers: we usually work with long-standing suppliers familiar with the process and our equipment. The know-how we share with them allows us to find new solutions together more easily and quickly.
Construction solutions: experience allows us to take a long term view to ensure maximum reliability and safety. For example:
- Our advanced head filling machines are equipped with thick frames for strength and lifting systems with anti-tip racks.
- In our champignon compost block line, the standard automatic lubrication system ensures a long chain life and the limit switch system on the ejector prevents damage in the event of sensor failure.
Support: the price of our equipment includes an assistance and support service that never leaves your side! We are always on hand to offer our customers solutions and assistance. Because we are convinced that peace-of-mind is priceless.

How we help you stay within your budget
–
OK. We’ve told you how important quality and reliability are when choosing mushroom growing equipment. But in the end, it all comes down to staying within the budget!
We are here to help you find the best solution together:
You can start with a basic machine and only add the options and customisations you want.
If your budget is really tight, we can explain which operations are priorities for mechanisation and which you can continue to carry out manually and possibly mechanise in the future. For example, a mushroom farm that buys in compost in blocks can use simple equipment to load the blocks and casing soil onto the shelf – the heaviest operations for the operators – but carry out compost levelling, CAC-ing and net washing manually.

If your budget does not allow for purchase of new equipment, we are happy to recommend second-hand ALPIE machines procured from our contacts and customers.
Here we have given you a few pointers to help you make an aware and foresighted evaluation of the price of mushroom growing equipment!
Speaking of which, we invite you to also discover our approach to offers and all our pre-sales consultancy services!
